No school transport, no buses and no streetcars in Jena - emergency timetable in the Saale-Holzland district

Following a nationwide call by the trade union ver.di, the Jena public transport system and JES Verkehrsgesellschaft will go on strike on Friday, February 2, from 3:00 am until Saturday morning at 3:00 am.

Which lines are affected by the strike?
All Jena public transport lines and JES Verkehrsgesellschaft as well as school transport are affected by the strike. Passengers are asked to prepare for the travel disruptions in good time.

Bus routes that are operated by subcontractors can be partially covered. As a result, an emergency timetable can be set up at JES Verkehrsgesellschaft, which can be viewed on the Internet from 9 a.m. on Thursday, February 1. At Jenaer Nahverkehr, this applies to the call-and-collect cab journeys shown in the timetable.

All schools in the Jena city area and in the Saale-Holzland district have now been informed about the strike and the resulting disruptions to local transport services.

Will the service center also be on strike?
Yes, on Friday, February 2, there will be no advice on local transport services and no ticket sales at the Stadtwerke Servicecenter at Saalstraße 8a.

We are therefore announcing the cancellation of school transport and most buses and streetcars in the city of Jena and the Saale-Holzland district. Passengers are asked to be prepared for travel disruptions in good time. A concept for a possible basic service is being worked on.
