About us
The Jenaer Nahverkehr
We operate the local public transport system in the city of Jena. Our approximately 400 employees transport up to 62,000 passengers daily to their destinations in an environmentally friendly manner. In addition, we operate the local public transport system in the Saale-Holzland-Kreis via our subsidiary JES. We are a committed partner in the Verkehrsverbund Mittelthüringen.
Brief profile JNV and JES
Comfortable and climate-conscious transportation – that is our credo. For this purpose, we offer you a well-connected public transport network consisting of 51 bus lines in Jena and the Saale-Holzland-Kreis as well as 5 tram lines in Jena.
Under the motto "One Tariff, one ticket, one network", we are a committed partner in the transport association Verkehrsverbund Mittelthüringen and offer you a joint ticket for bus, train and tram between Gera and Gotha, Jena and Saalfeld.
As a partner in the network „Elektromobilität Jena 2030“, we are helping to shape the electromobile future of our region. Our fleet is changing: The diesel bus is being replaced by the electric bus, the gasoline car by the e-car, and the fuel pump will provide solar power instead of gasoline in the future.
