Stadtwerke Jena participates in Fete de la musique

On Midsummer Night Friday, June 21, the whole of Europe celebrates the street music festival „Fete de la musique“. Organized by the Initiative Innenstadt, the center of Jena will also be transformed into a large stage on this day. From 2 pm to 10 pm, artists will perform in more than 20 locations with music ranging from pop, techno, classical, jazz to hip hop. 

Admission to the concerts is free, but a hat fee is requested for the artists performing free of charge.  

For the first time, Stadtwerke Jena is also taking part in the Fete de la musique. At the Stadtwerke Jena customer center in Saalstra&;e 8a there will be a varied musical program from 2 pm to about 8 pm. Among others, singer-songwriter Erik Stenzel and the Jena Pub Choir will be performing.  

The Stadtwerke presents itself on its Bühne as part of the initiative „Weltoffenes Thüringen", which is committed to diversity, tolerance and respectful coexistence for all people. The initiative will also be performing on a stage on the town square in Lobada-West (starting at 4 pm) and at the Ratszeiße on the market (starting at 3 pm). The highlight will be a flash mob to the song „Nie wieder ist jetzt“ at 6 pm on the market square, to which all Jena residents are invited who want to take a stand against exclusion, hatred and hate speech with music and dance and lots of fun.
