A cooperation between Stadtwerke Jena and Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) is giving the city on the Saale a further extension of the free My Jena WiFi.

From now on, various KSJ locations will broadcast the Stadtwerke's Wi-Fi. Users of the My Jena app can now use the WiFi at the Nature Experience Center on Schottplatz, among other locations. The KSJ administration buildings in the Löbstedter Straße area are also equipped with WiFi to reduce waiting times for customers.

Christina Hentschel, responsible for the My Jena app at Stadtwerke Jena:

We are delighted that, together with the KSJ, we can now reach even more people with our free WiFi. This is a further step in our commitment to digitally connecting Jena and providing citizens and guests of the city with state-of-the-art infrastructure.

The MeinJena app was launched by Stadtwerke Jena in 2017 and attracts around 26,000 users every month. In addition to free WiFi, the app also offers daily news about the city, event information and local transport route planning.
