Tree felling and replanting in Dornburger Straße

In the course of the construction work for the reconstruction of the overhead line for the tramway, an already damaged tree will be felled next week (March 11 to 15) on a private property in Dornburger Strasse. The company „Baummarder“ is carrying out the felling. 

The tree felling is carried out with the approval of the Environmental and Nature Conservation Department of the City of Jena. Permission has also been granted by the landowner.

A catenary mast is to be erected in this area. The sidewalk is already heavily covered with media lines, which is why it is not possible to avoid it. In addition, the sight triangle for car drivers from Gneisenaustraße must be maintained. Two replacement plantings will be made on the property at a much more suitable location.
