Just as our FC Carl Zeiss Jena is #MehrAlsFussball and is socially committed in the region beyond sport, Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck is also committed to many social and cultural projects in the region. And, of course, sport should not be left out. Ines Eckert, Head of Corporate Communications, explains why the Stadtwerke supports the tour: „Promoting competitive, grassroots and youth sports locally is an important part of our social responsibility. We have therefore been an uninterrupted partner of the FCC for over 25 years.“ Ralph Grillitsch, FCC President: „FC Carl Zeiss Jena is firmly rooted in the region, from which people come week after week to support the FCC at its matches. We know how happy they are when FC Carl Zeiss Jena comes to visit them. And this is exactly what we now want to do even more frequently and intensively with the „Tour through the region“.“ Now the FCC and Stadtwerke Jena want to take a further step with a joint „Tour through the region“ and be present with the people in the region, in schools, clubs and towns. As part of the „Tour through the region“, a sports program for children will be offered at schools. In addition to various football challenges against the FCC professionals, this also includes a stop at the Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck.
The highlights of the „tour through the region“ include test matches of the FCC against teams from the region from lower leagues – for example as part of club festivals. In addition to the matches, there will of course be plenty of hands-on activities with FC Carl Zeiss Jena, which is why the tour will also make stops in various cities in order to be present at weekly markets, city festivals and so on. The „tour through the region“ will kick off with a visit to the state elementary school "Herzog Christian" in Eisenberg. „The tour kick-off on 6 May in Eisenberg marks the start of a long-standing tradition. With the tour kick-off in Eisenberg on May 6, one of our long-cherished wishes will become reality: to make our collaboration even more visible outside the city limits of Jena and to share our enthusiasm for sport,

says Ines Eckert, who is delighted about the start of the tour.

Already fixed stops on the „tour through the region“ are:

„Your day in paradise“ (May 25 in Jena)
