15,000 euros for clubs: Stadtwerke HEIMVORTEIL enters a new round

Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck is once again supporting regional associations this year with its funding program „Stadtwerke HEIMVORTEIL“. Projects in the fields of culture, sport, social affairs, education and the environment are to be supported with a total of 15,000 euros. Applications can be submitted until March 31, 2024. In addition to the specific project, the clubs are also asked to explain what their „home advantage“ is. Funding is awarded on the basis of donations.

„üOver 100 associations applied for the HEIMVORTEIL last year. The great response makes it clear that we can provide a lot of help with our donation program. We want to continue this and are calling on associations from Jena as well as from the surrounding districts of Saale-Holzland-Kreis and Weimarer Land and Saale-Orla-Kreis to apply. Especially in rural areas, volunteering makes a significant contribution to the quality of life," explains Ines Eckert, Head of Corporate Communications at Stadtwerke Jena. As before, there are three fixed funding amounts: 1,000 euros, 500 euros and 250 euros. Applications can be submitted directly online via the Stadtwerke website. Associations that have already submitted an application for support in recent weeks as part of the previous allocation of donations will automatically be included in the current allocation round.

Jenaer Stadtwerke's direct financial support for voluntary work and club projects is therefore based on two options. The municipal donation platform Jena Crowd has been in place since 2019 with a monthly funding pot of 1,000 euros. The principle here is classic crowdfunding with additional support from Stadtwerke: as soon as a supporter donates at least ten euros for a project, the company adds another ten euros on top for the project. Since 2019, the Jena Crowd has succeeded in generating over 380,000 euros from almost 6,500 supporters. The Jena Crowd offer can be used all year round.
