Construction project
Together with the Berlin architecture office Müller Reimann Architekten, jenawohnen plans to build six five-storey buildings in Theobald-Renner-Straße. They are to be grouped loosely around a shared yard, which is the centre of the quarter. All in all, 154 flats with a total living space of around 12,850 square metres will be built. In the family-friendly residential quarter, mainly 2- to 5-room flats are planned, 20 per cent of which are occupancy- and rent-controlled flats. Tenants can rent a parking space in the underground garage or outside.
Recreational areas and playgrounds will be directly integrated into the surrounding green areas. In each of the six houses, a wheelchair-accessible flat is planned on the ground floor.
The project-related development plan was made available to the public from 14 July to 4 October 2023. With a previously booked appointment, it was possible to view the documents at the Urban Planning Department, Am Anger 26 and at the Lobeda District Office, Karl-Marx-Allee 28.
