Construction project
The area in Lobeda-Ost lay idle for a long time until a modern residential and commercial building with almost futuristic architecture and a metal exterior was built at Kastanienstraße 1 from 2018 to 2020. Our vision was to combine medical services and administration with sophisticated modern living space under one roof. The result was a design that is as multifaceted as its use. Visually, the different areas are separated from each other, but at the same time, they form a functioning unit.
Construction project
A modern apartment- and business building with a nearly futuristic architecture and metallic exterior. The K1 is an extraordinary solution to combine medical services and administration with sophisticated modern and highly comfortable living spaces under one roof. While the single units are separated visually, at the same time, they create a creative working unit. The apartments offer spacious, modern, open and classical layouts with different options for retreat in the own four walls, for example an own sauna in the main bathroom.
Living
In the living area, you have the opportunity to spend evenings together or to retreat for a few quiet minutes. On the large loggia, you can enjoy the sun all day in summer and there is space for the whole family in the large living and cooking area. The private bathroom right next to the bedroom offers you the opportunity for a relaxed feel-good evening.

Business
The new building of the University Hospital in Lobeda requires more office- and commercial spaces. Therefore, jenawohnen GmbH has started this challenging project. On a brownfield directly opposite to the clinic and in inmediate vicinity of the Lobdepark, a modern apartment- and business building has been built, accommodating administration and service units as well as doctor's offices.
The building impresses due to its extraordinary architecture. Its outer skin is made of glass and metal, and you have to pass a bridge to enter the ground floor, where further businesses of administration can move in. The administrative units of the University Hospital of Jena (UKJ) occupy the first up to the fifth floor. This varied usage of the building is also recognizable from the outside: the different areas are optically separated, but still they form a creative unit.
