Construction project
The vision of the residential quarter, completed in 2016, is to create a place to live in that is as versatile as the city of Jena itself: IMMERGRÜN as a green urban oasis combines the buzz of city life with the tranquility of the countryside. In an excellent new construction project, a residential quarter of seven multi-family houses was created, which are harmoniously embedded in a garden landscape.
In the IMMERGRÜN, 2- to 5-room apartments are available. Depending on the needs of the tenants, there are house-in-house apartments such as maisonettes, apartments with their own garden, apartments with balconies and a view of the inner courtyard or the street, and roof terrace apartments with a view of the green. Harvest fresh vegetables from your own vegetable patches and pick apples and berries from the estate's 19 fruit trees and numerous berry bushes. Or simply enjoy the colorful flowers while looking out of the window. Herbaceous meadows, wildflowers, areas with grass and bushes do not only attract the attention of the residents, but also beautiful butterflies and busy honeybees. In addition, 40 other leaf trees in and around the neighborhood provide sufficient greenery. Paths that allow the water to seep away, two large hollows, green roofs and meadows, as well as the trees and planting areas, help to ensure sustainable climate adaptation. IMMERGRÜN is for people with communal and community spirit. An active intergenerational vicinity, where one helps and listens to each other and celebrates together stands against the anonimity of the big city. A workshop pavilion for garden tools, garden workshops or small repairs is available to all residents free of charge.

Living environment
From the IMMERGRÜN in Jena-Nord, it takes you only a few minutes by public transport to reach the city center with its beautiful old town and various shopping and recreation facilities. Although you enjoy the advantages of being the center, you simply walk out of the front door and after a few minutes you are already in the middle of nature. Relax in the beautiful Saale valley or get fit by climbing the Jenzig mountain.
The location close to the city center in Jena-Nord offers a very good infrastructure for all age groups – whether kindergartens, schools, shops, recreational facilities, churches or clubs – everything is in the immediate vicinity.
Mobile without limits
The residents of IMMERGRÜN are free to decide how they prefer to get around: by public transport to the city centre, by bike to the river Saale, or by car to do the weekly grocery shopping. Sufficient parking spaces for cars and for about 240 bicycles guarantee convenient and safe parking of these means of transport. For the environmentally conscious and those who drive less, a car-sharing concept offers alternative options, and pioneers of e-car technology will find parking spaces with climate-friendly charging stations.
