Construction project
With our residential and care center in Lobeda Ost, we have created a protected living environment that is specially tailored to the needs of people suffering from dementia. The new building at Salvador-Allende-Platz is owned by AWO Kreisverband Jena-Weimar e.V., which has set up two assisted living communities for twelve people each on the first floor. Supported by trained nursing staff, the residents can participate in everyday life and socialize according to their abilities. On the second and third floor, there are twenty apartments, which are also suitable for partners or relatives of the patients who wish to live near their beloved ones.
Living and residing in Lobeda
A large and green courtyard with clear walkways and a garden with fragrant plants offers opportunities for walks in the fresh air, which are very important for the well-being of people with dementia. On the first floor, there is an open service area. It offers space for a hairdresser and a café open to all residents of the neighborhood. In direct proximity to the University Hospital and numerous shopping facilities, one of the most modern residential centers for people with dementia in Thuringia has been created.
