Jenaer Bäder und Freizeit GmbH and SAALEMAXX Freizeit- und Erlebnisbad Rudolstadt GmbH received a welcome grant from the state of Thuringia last week. Katharina Schenk, State Secretary of the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior and Local Government, presented a grant of around 300,000 euros for SAALEMAXX in Rudolstadt and around 500,000 euros for the GalaxSea leisure pool in Jena.

As a result of the drastic rise in energy costs, both pools had applied for financial support. The funding is provided as part of a livelihood support program for municipal companies, which aims to support institutions in overcoming economic challenges.

For the two pools, the grants represent an important contribution to securing the operation of the pools and maintaining the diverse, high-quality offerings for visitors. The funding clearly shows that the state government recognizes the importance of these leisure and health facilities for the respective cities and actively supports their continued existence.
