The Jena swimming pool has an innovation that not only improves the comfort of bathers, but also makes the working conditions of pool supervisors much easier. The new swimming pool supervisor building in the form of a tiny house, which was delivered in the early hours of 2 May on a heavy goods vehicle under police protection, weighs 15.6 tons, is 3 meters wide and 10 meters long. It houses a spacious recreation room with a fully equipped mini-kitchen, a sanitary room for the first aid of injured bathers, lockers for changing and toilets.
„Craftsmen, crane and truck drivers did a great job. Everything went hand in hand so that the Tiny House could be delivered and set up in a very tight time frame,
said operations manager Ulrich Klose from Jenaer Bädern, praising the efforts of everyone involved.
For bathers, the Tiny House will be the central point of contact if they have a problem or need to contact the pool attendants. But that's not all: this investment will also make the lifeguards' work much easier. The new building offers state-of-the-art equipment and improves the working conditions for the staff, who are on duty in all weathers during the season. Where the Tiny House now stands, there was previously an old swimming pool attendant's hut, which had long since become outdated, was no longer an eye-catcher and was demolished. The new Tiny House therefore not only significantly enhances the appearance of the swimming pool, but also increases comfort for the swimming instructors and pool attendants as well as the pool guests.
