Accompanied learning to swim

The Jenaer Bäder are expanding their offer and will start on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 with the open offer „Accompanied learning to swim“ in the new sports swimming hall „Schwimmparadies Jena“. This group training is aimed specifically at beginners and is designed to encourage children to improve their swimming skills and prepare for taking the early swimmer's badge "Seepferdchen".

The courses are designed for children aged 4 to 13 years. In small groups of no more than ten children, each accompanied by a parent or grandparent, experienced swimming instructors offer tips and instructions on learning to swim. Children are introduced to the element of water in a playful way and can learn both breaststroke and backstroke. The main aim of the course is to build confidence in the water, improve swimming skills and learn technical skills.

In order to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, prior registration via the Jenaer Bäder online shop is required.

The „accompanied swimming lessons“ take place every Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the teaching pool of the sports swimming hall, admission is possible from 1:45 pm. The costs correspond to the regular admission price for adults, children and concessions.
