Repairing instead of throwing away: a call for sustainability

Under the motto „Repairing instead of throwing awayßen“, jenawohnen and the KSJ cordially invite all interested parties to the Environment Day at the Kreative Baubüro (Stauffenbergstraße 10). On Monday, June 17, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the focus will be on waste avoidance, resource conservation and sustainability.

In the morning, the focus is on the primary school children at the Kulturanum School. They will learn everything they need to know about the correct way to dispose of recyclable materials at a station. In the afternoon, it's up to all citizens
. Do you still have old or broken appliances or items at home that are just taking up space? Then come along and get active: repairing, upcycling, swapping or selling are the order of the day.

The Repariercafé Jena will be on hand with an information stand to present creative upcycling ideas and give repair tips. The ADFC Jena-Saaletal also offers free bicycle coding. All you need is your bike, proof of purchase and your identity card.

Anyone who has always wanted to see the KSJ's large vehicles up close and live in action will also get their money's worth. Everything that can no longer be saved on this day or does not find a new owner will be disposed of by the KSJ directly on site.
